I only went back to my school yesterday but I'm already feeling so down and sad. I've started the sixth form and it just all seems so different and new. No one looks pleased to see me or bother to make conversation with me. I thought these girls were my friends but they're just being so blah and seemed to have lost their sense of humour. I just feel so out of place and I don't think I'll ever settle in. I did well at in my gcses and have a scholarship but I'm just finding the work such an effort and hard. I've been at my school since year seven and I'm wondering if it's cos I'm just bored of the school and need a change. Does anyone else feel like this or have any advice? I can't move schools because I've started the term now and I would have to wait until a certain time when I have the ability to enter for an exam to a private school. Also I can't really move between A.S. and A levels. Please help, I've never felt so down before.

Answer:
The others are probably feeling exactly the same as you’re. Everyone is trying to settle back into the school routine, and they're probably just as worried about things as you’re.

Give yourself a bit of time. I'm sure most of the students think the work is hard, so don't worry too much about that. Just keep doing your best, and you'll soon get into the swing of things again and be chatting away with your friends - old and/or new ones :)

All the best.

I know how your feeling, but you just have to try and enjoy yourself. Think of it as a new begin. You have more freedom in 6th form, so use it. Also, if you want change then just get out more in your time out of school and go places. I feel the same at my school, so I'm gunna be doing a lot of travelling and such. Plus its way superior than the years below surely?

Answer:
It's only just started back…maybe everyone else feels strange too…maybe they feel the pressure of looming A levels etc. If I were you I would chill out a bit…be extra nice to yourself and try to just concentrate on your work…give it 200%….because when you go to Uni..those girls will be…somewhere else…they don't really matter. I have kept ONE friend from school…all my real friends were made at Uni.

Look, everyone's zoned out of it now, so it will take them a while t get back in. Why don't you be proactive and try cheering them up. Treat them how you would enjoy it, smiling's infectious! I blame the weather tho, so get used to it, from now to winter's Sh*t in my thought….

Answer:
