I was just wondering because of a few things… =)

Answer:
no, not really, it's just a health condition like any other.
anyways, who cares if your weird, weirdness is true originality, have pride in your weirdness everyone has a weirdness but schizophrenia cannot be one because many people have it so it can be stated that it is normal.

Answer:
weird is only a comparison to the norm. But what is normal? Everyone has tiny things that other people might think are “weird” whether it is having different coloured eyes, liking a bottom of the league team or having a condition.

Just because it has a name and certain assumptions attached to it doesn't make it weird. Its perfectly normal for some people, different for others that's all.
Just different.

Answer:
Of course they're weird. I have two uncles with schizophrenia and neither of them are mentally competent enough to be a greeter at walmart.

What's important with schizophrenia, though, is that you still treat them like they're human. Go see them each other weekend, have a cookout with them sometime, watch the game with them. This will improve their health and they really will appreciate it.

Here is also a great little comic on schizophrenia : http://tallguywrites.livejournal.com/133…

EDIT: Althought it is nice to call schizo's 'normal', you are just sort of sprinkling sugar on some bullshit. Best to acknowledge their condition and don't alienate them.

Answer:
Of course, it's all the worst mental illness thrown into one easy name. It can sometimes be controlled. I've been called schizoeffective, and bi polar, and borderline personality disorder. And one physician said I’ve general anxiety disorder. And a nurse suggested I might be agoraphobic. All of these terms thrown at me. I've taken an abnormal psychology class and made only a C in it. I took psychology 121 and made a B in it. I made a B on my first clinical psychology class before I was kicked out of, or nicely asked to leave a university. Now I'm going to a technical college for culinary. I'd say people with extreme mental illness like myself can try to function, but we’re often shattered, and tend to be “weird”. I'd rather work with animals than humans. But I was fascinated with psychology because of all of my problems. I used to want to be a psychologist, but I don't have what it takes. Yes, we’re weird. But mostly we’re harmless. Some of the ideal people you’ll meet have mental illness. My one problem is that I have a lot of slashes on my wrists and arms from ripping my arms open with a Bass Pro knife 2 1/2 years ago. It took 56 stitches to sew me back up. It''s a massive problem but I got disability the first time I applied since I had been in group homes, and many psychiatric hospitals. I think my flip out at the university was one thing that helped decide my fate. I really freaked out at the university clinic. I cried like a baby before a public speaking class that I had to go too. It showed on my award letter for disability that they looked into that clinic, and the psychologists that recommended I with drawl until I got better,

Answer:
no. though ive seen how believing you’re fine with just a different view on things and experiences, and then believing you are fucked up out of your control and have to 'prove you are just as helpful to society', will change things.

i think it changes how others treat them, though.

for instance i get embarrassed seeing my mum speak to an older person with dementia like a small child, whereas i try my ideal to open doors with pleases and thank yous.. but then i get told that makes me weird.. i dunno.. blah..

Answer:
HAVING schizophrenia does not make you weird. The symptoms might seem strange to someone who has no knowledge of the illness, but being mentally ill does not make anyone weird as this is not something one can control.

Answer:
I don't think it makes you WEIRD, but it isn't a common condition so I guess you would be considered 'different' (I don't mean that in an offensive way)

:)

Answer:
No more weird than some people who are considered 'normal'. Schizophrenics that adhere to their medication regime function normally.

Answer:
No, it's just another illness that can be helped with medical treatment. You wouldn't think someone with Cancer was weird. :)

Answer:
no because its nothing that a person can control its not there fault they’ve it so in my opinion NOPE=)

Answer:
I dont think so…. And neither do i!!! ;-)

Answer:
Bad past/putdowns,rejection/father gone lets other things start. Anorexia, cutting, OCD, anxiety, panic attacks, hearing voices, psychic dreams can all come from a tramautic past. Its opens doors to the negative and they begin to dwell closeby. They’ve problems not you.

Demons are related to fallen angels, angels who rebelled against God. Demons are evil, deceptive, and destructive. According to 2 Corinthians 11:14-15, demons masquerade as “angels of light” and as “servants of righteousness.” Appearing as a “ghost” and impersonating a deceased human being definitely is a disguise that demons use. They also cause plain harassment and emotional torment. They can also look like shadows or most anything even angels..dogs…

Demons are attracted to the very sad, or just a home where death, drugs or sin was, and make you seem to have many mental problems as well as have you see things. They are on the increase and might come even if theres no abuse..

God helps anyone even if they dont know him.

There is no such thing as a chemical imbalance- only a theory - not tests at all google it
