I’ve worn glasses since the age of 13,at first it was just for reading the blackboard at school but when I reached 19 I prety uch needed them all the time.I'm now 28 and Im fed up of always having glasses. When I was 17 I went through a phase of contact wearing for approx a year, I had no problems with them but gave up after a while because back then with my income they where an uneccesary expense. Since then in the past 3 years I have tried to wear contacts agin and everytime I do a trial it nevr works out because my left eye feels enjoy it cant focus.
My optician at specsavers said I’ve evry very sensitive eyes and there is nothing they have the ability to do for me.He did seem quite dismissive and also said eye surgery would be pointless as my eyes are so sensitive.has anyone else been told this?does anyone know of any contacts specifically for very sensitive eyes??
Answer:
One eye not being able to focus has nothing to do with ” sensitive eyes”
It would nearly certainly be an issue with the prescription or the fit of the lens.
” sensitive eyes” is an easy and silly diagnosis for when they don't know how to solve your problem.
Everyone has sensitive eyes…but some can endure more anguish than others.
Still…the inability to focus right with one eye most likely means your prescription in the contact lens is wrong.
Find another optician who has more experience, preferably not in a chain store.
