Since giving birth four months ago I’ve noticed a real deterioration in my eyesight. I’m aware that pregnancy can affect your eyes and that you should avoid eye tests during pregnancy as you might get an unreliable result. However, with my previous pregnancies I didn't really notice a problem with my vision. This time, however, I have really noticed my close vision is very poor. I already wear glasses for driving.
How long should I wait for my eyes to return to normal from pregnancy before getting a reliable eye test?
Answer:
Don't wait, go to an established optician and get an eye test. I talk from experience as I found that I had a problem with my peripheral vision. My optician found that I had a cataract and referred me to the Eye Clinic at my local hospital. I had it removed and then the other one done as it was also affected.
Eyes are precious so don't put an appointrment off.
Answer:
I'm sure if you told an optometrist about the situation they would comprehend. They would know about the problem your facing and tell you what you need to know about it. Trust me, an optometrist would know a lot more about this than someone on Yahoo Answers. I got my eyes tested a few months ago and it was completely free. I'm going in tomorrow to get an assessment to see if I'm suitable for contact lenses and that's 100% free as well!
Good luck ![]()
