hey guys, since young i needed glasses. I didnt wear them because i got bullied, but i went onto contact lenses and even with glasses / contact lenses, my eyesite is still very poor.
I have been to 3 different opticians , the hospital + laser eye surgery clinic. and Nobody can get my eyesite to 20/20 or even close to it. Everybody in my family has nearly perfect vision but me
I want to drive but i can’t pass the eye test for it (with glasses). also i struggle to see people i know. I get random texts off friends and family saying “ignorant!!!!” , or somthign along them lines just because they think i have blanked them when they see me.
Even out clubbing, I unintentionallygive people bad looks, just because i struggle to see and i have been in so many fights because of this.
I dont know who to see , i feel lost without reasonable good eyesite.
Surely someone can do somthing to help me? its so hard in life for me to socialise / study and do the normal things a 20 year can do.
I think my current perscription is +3.75 and +3.00 apparently i have 2 lazy eyes

Answer:
Not sure about who is showing ignornance here, but you most certainly can have bilateral amblyopia!
One should attempt to track the reasons behind your impaired vision, there are a number of posibilities from having squints, damaged corneas, cataracts, damaged macula, optic nerve damage etc etc.
I have seen some good results in patients (including a set of twins with bilateral amblyopia) who have noted an increase in visual acuity after undergoing Neurovision training.
You can have a look at the following website: www.neuro-vision.com
It is likely that you are going to undergo a number of stages in treatment. Initially your prescriptive error would undergo laser treatment, followed by Neurovision training in one eye at a time. There are parameters to suitability for both forms of treatment though. Personally, I have noted a maximum gain of 3 lines of Visual Acuity, mostly in patients that present with ideal corrected visual acuities of between 6/9 and 6/24 .
Kind regards

I advocate scheduling an appointment with an ophthalmologist to see if anything can be done to improve your vision. No one on Y answers will be able to help you with this.

Kasumika is a showing her arrogance! You can’t have two lazy eyes; one yes but not two. For some so far unexplained to you reason, your vision even when corrected is lower than normal……for some people this itself is a result of your early ocular history and you`ll have to live with it. It is unlikely there’s any pathology to account for the lowered acuity as it would have been observed by now. Be glad that your optical glass is half full and not half empty. You could be much worse off!
