my eyes are always sore and painful so went to the eye physicians who done swabs of my eyes and found i might have chlamydia in my eyes ? i was tested 3 years ago at the GUM clinic and found nothing and have always been with the same person who also is faithful, the dr stated that you don't always catch it like that and can be caught by touching certain things that an infected person can have,i.e desk pens etc and then rubbed my eyes ! anyone else had this and what are the treatments as this is strange one to me.

Answer:
Chlamydia of the eye is similar but different to the chlamydia that effects the genitals or anus. They are both bacterial based so therefore the course of treatment is antibiotics. Again, it is contagious, even though because it is different you’re unlikely to have caught it from someone who has an std. A pen, money or each day object is therefore the most likely way you would have caught it.

It does need to be treated however otherwise it is possible that this can lead Trachoma which can cause blindness.

It was the dirty pen that did it. Nice euphemism

Answer:
Of the eye? There's no such thing!
