Not Likely. They were doing FDA trials nd that was stopped because it was not working well. IT is easier to lengthen light rays by flattening the cornea, as with near sighted people. But you can only do so much to lengthen light rays with people who have short eyeballs, you can not add length by shortening the cornea, you would need to lengthen it, so it isn’t all that feasable to do the same thing. The success of the one, does not mean that the other is unsafe, they are totally different kinds of corrections and have nothing to do with each other, really.
