Whenever I see a camera flash or any small source of light such as a light bulb or tiny fairy light the image of the light remains hazily “imprinted” in my sight as a white or coloured fuzz so that I can see it wherever I look, but I have never asked anybody about this.

Is it a totally normal thing that nearly everybody experiences?

Thanks.

Answer:
It's a completely normal reaction, the rods and cones in the retina that pick up and transport light images to the brain just get 'overloaded' with information and get 'tired'.

You can achieve the same result by drawing a black dot about the size of a five pence piece on a piece of white paper and stare at it without blinking for about a minute, when you close your eyes you will 'see' the image reversed.

yes this is a totally normal thing that almost everyone experiences.

don't worry about it.

Answer:
This always happens to me. When somebody takes a pic of me I have the ability to see colors and patterns when staring at something. It stops after a few minutes.

Answer:
very normal :)
