I first got glasses around two years ago for short sightedness. Recently my eyes were starting to feel exhausted and achy like they were before I first needed glasses so I had another eye test. The left eye was fine, it was still the same as before but now I also had astigmatism in my right eye. I just got the new glasses today and everything seems to be slanting to the left and I feel dizzy.

My previous glasses were perfect from when I first wore them. The optician said I just need to get used to them. So am I expected to put up with the headache and dizziness for a few weeks and just hope it goes away? Or do I maybe need a slightly lower prescription?

Thanks!

Answer:
Whenever I get new glasses everything seems a bit weird for the first day or two… Wear them today, if it doesn't improve, go back to your optician… :)

*Because your new glasses are a tiny stronger, that's why they seem strange to your older glasses when you first wore them…

Answer:
wait and see how your eyes adapt to the new glasses for a few weeks.
If you still find it to be uncomfortable, see the optician again.
hope this helps!
