so the syptoms i get on the commputer….really tired eyes and resting my eyes meas cant see a thing….this is just normal eye strain i hear. but would this be helped by glasses?
Answer:
Amy's suggestion are excellent.
However, a computer screen is usually the same distance as reading a book so it is an visual task that must be considered.
You did NOT mention if you had had an eye examination lately. We advocate every two years.
An eye exam would determine, for example if you need glasses for close work (like computers). Your symptoms seem to point in that direction so I recommend you see an eye doctor and find out for sure.
You did not mention your age. If you’re in your forties reading glasses will be a must.
Hopet his helps.
Answer:
I recently decided to get glasses for myself, I work all day in front of a Computer and use my own at home.
It turns out that using a personal wont affect your eyesight, or if so it will only be marginal. Also with flat screens, as opposed to the old tube monitors, you don't get the radiation. The main concern with a Personal computer is that your eyes will get tired and you’ll get 'arc eye', where your eyes go red and puffy.
The only time glasses will help you with the symptoms you describe is if you need glasses, being far sighted. I'm short sighted (things are fuzzy in the distance, but fine up close) so for me my glasses don't help at all.
Other things you can do to help you with your eye problems:
-Use a flat screen if you aren't already.
-Try to take breaks in-between whatever you're doing. (even short breaks help)
-Keep the room well lit.
All in all, if you think you need glasses because things are blurry then get them and they should help, otherwise if your eyes are fine don't bother.
Answer:
Hes and no. tey'd mak your vision worse if you don't need glasses, sit with your head a tiny further away from the screen and take a short break every hour or so.
Did you know yur eyes are the body part that uses the most energy.
