does anybody know how much it would cost privately… to have a catteracts removed/treated in one eye. my husband has this condition.

Answer:
Straight forward cataract procedure is £2500 per eye. If your husband has any specific prescriptive stipulations, (ie: high astigmatism) then you would be looking at around £2700 per eye. This fee is inclusive of consultation, surgical fees, lenses, anaesthesia, aftercare etc. Procedure is out patient based, no need to stay in hospital etc. Visual recovery is swift, depending on the nature of the procedure anywhere from 1 day to 1 week.
