Floater is seeing a spot when a person looks at a white wall or surface.some people say it is harmless but others describe it as a serious condition of eye.
Answer:
I have floaters in my eyes, and have had them for about 10years. They are just dead cells, and do not cause a problem, they are just a nuisance.
Answer:
Whenever you look at something bright, a very small part of your retina gets permanently damaged. Depending on how you look at the bright imagine, it usually leaves a amoeba-like mark on your retina, also known as a floater.
I have them, you have them, everybody who's ever been outside has them. What makes them a serious condition is when they build up in a certain area of your retina, which creates a blind spot. Blind spots are also created by laser pointers and other High-Intensity emitting devices.
So, as long as you don't stare at the sun for a living, or clean your eyes with laser pointers, you should be fine.
Answer:
My eye doctor said it was the gel in your eye breaking down and there is nothing you can do to fix it and that it is harmless.
Answer:
It can and cannot be serious. It is the gel or cells in the vitreous that float around. You should see an ophthalmologist to have it checked, especially if it gets any bigger or your see more.

Answer:
MOST floaters are harmless, but it is wise to get it properly identified. This I found helpful. When you first are aware of them you are looking for them all the time, but in time the brain ignores them and they are less easy to see in your field of vision.
Answer:
depends on the cause. see an opthalmologist.
Answer:
'Floaters' are NOT, repeat NOT dangerous of themselves. I have had them for many years. As others have said on here - they are merely dead cells.
In later life though they COULD be come more serious as they are a potential indication of macular degeneration within the eye.
Answer:
Floaters are tiny fragments of detached tissue floating inside the eye. I was assured by a distinguished eye surgeon that mine are harmless.
In view of the fact that all my reports draw attention to them, they must have some possible significance, so it's worth having them checked.
Answer:
Sometimes they are harmless, sometimes the are serious. y friend shad lots of them & they were really bothering her so she went to the doctor. It turned out her retina was beginning to detach itself.
Answer:
