Which UK opticians are offering free eyetests and do any have special offers on more than one pair of specs?

Answer:
what ever you do don't lie to get a free eye test by saying a relative has glaucoma… the NHS do thorough checks and there might be consequences if you have lied.

You get a free eye test on the NHS if:

* you are under 16

* you are under 19 and in full time education

* you’re over 40 and are the brother/sister/child of somone who has glaucoma

*your diabetic or you have glaucoma

*your on benefits (such as tax credits, pension credit, income support)

* you have a complex lense ( if your prescription is over -10.00 or 10.00.

If not keep an eye out in the paper and magazines, somtimes specsavers offer free eye test vouchers when you buy a pair of specs.

Answer:
I get free eye tests every year on the NHS @ any Optician.

If you are over Forty years of age, just tell them you had a parent who had Glaucoma & this entitles you to a free eye test.

My Father had Glaucoma & so did my Grand-Mother.

So I’m entitled.

If you’re on say Benefits you also qualify, or if you are in Full Time Education, or under 18 years of age.
