Im 32 weeks pregnant and my tiny man has been getting hick-ups all the time for a few weeks. its cute but im sure he hates it. i try to see when he gets them to relate them to what im doing but i cant tell. does anyone know why they get hick-ups?
Answer:
It's apparently because they’re swallowing the amniotic fluid in an attempt to get their system into practice for feeding and breathing after birth. Or something like that.
I don't think it's related to anything that you do or eat - and it's a good sign really. At least you know his chest should be nice and strong when he arrives!
Answer:
yeah its funny, your stomach just jumps like a huge twitch, my daughter got them aswell, it is from athe amniotic fluid, nothing no1 can do, he will hiccup a lot when hes born and you will think he hates it then its so cute, they're not suffering obviously but if you could take it away you would
Answer:
My mother said when she was pregnant with me whenever she drank pop that had ice in it, or chewed on ice I would get the hiccups. I chew ice daily and have maybe felt the hiccups once but not for sure. lol. But that could be one reason.
Answer:
they get it from “practice breathing” of the amniotic fluid. it's a good thing actually, it shows that that part of his brain is developing normally.
Answer:
They drink the amnionic fluid, that's what causes the hiccups. It's very common/normal. My son had them in the womb all the time, and when he was a newborn he got them a lot too.
