My gf wasn't due on her period for three weeks and she had a lot of blood randomly gush from her vagina so she went straight to the doctors and he told her that it could have been a miscarriage so to take a pregnancy test and then go back if she was pregnant so she took one which was negative so she didn't return and presumed she had miscarried. Three weeks later her period didn't come and it is now really really late and she’s urinating frequently and her breasts are really firm and swollen. She’s also tired all the time. Could she be pregnant even though the test came out negative. could it have been too early to detect the pregnancy?

omg i had the exact same experience and it turned out I was pregnant! She should take another test and return to the physicians!

It could have been too early for the test to show, but sometimes you’ve to take two or three tests to be sure.
The symptons shes having do occur in pregnancy, so she probably is pregnant. Just take another test. If it shows negative again go to the physicians.
If she's quite brudy then she could also be experiencing what they call a phantom pregnancy.

If you guys had unprotected sex, there’s always a chance she could be pregnant. Her symptoms sound like pregnancy symptoms so I would definitely test again. If an at home test comes out negative but her symptoms persist, visit your doctor and have them take a blood test as this will be more sensitve to HCG (The Pregnancy Hormone) that other tests might not be able to pick up so early on. Yes a negative doesn't always mean a negative, i'd have her test again or go back to the physicians. Sounds really odd to me and i think she should really go back and see the doctor for a better examination.

The doctor would not have let her go home. He would have tested her blood to find out how high her (hCG) was, then a few hours later tested her again (to see if it was lower) to find out weather or not she was having a miscarriage. The symptoms she’s having sounds like she is pregnant however. Try an early response pregnancy just remember it isn’t as reliable as an EPT or a blood test
