my bf's ex had a baby on the 28th september 2008(i think) she lied about being pregnant for the first 3months
she then informed him that he was the dad, then later admitted to sleeping with someone else when my bf asked for a dna test and her midwife informed her that her dates didn't match up and my bf couldn't be the father, and when she found out he was now seeing me.

anyway details:
the last time my bf slept with her was 28th december 2007
she slept with the other guy on 9th january 2008
the baby was given a due date of the first week in october 2008
( HE WAS NOT OVERDUE!!)

she has told my partner that her last period was a few days before she slept with him , so he is the father, however i think she made this up after the midwife explained that the dates dont add up. now ive worked it out over 1000 times and everytime the dates dont match up to my bf and from my calculations she would have had a period after sleeping with my bf ( around the 30th dec)
we are currently waiting for the results of a dna test after months of her trying to avoid taking one ( missing appointments, and objecting the dna test in court) im just asking the probability of the child being his?
we dnt mind either way and are planning to take full custody if the child does prove to be my bf's as the child is currently in care. just wondering if anyone else can work it out differenty???

Answer:
so you state the first week in October was the due date, because you didnt give me a specific date I took all 7 days in the first week

Due date: Oct 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
LMP: Dec 26 27 28 29 30 31 1.1
Prob Ov: Jan 9 10 11 12 13 14 15

you then said the last day he slept with her was Dec 28th, keep in mind that sperm can live for up to five days in a healthy vagina, meaning dec 28th would be too far out to say this is his baby, the sperm will not live for 11 days to reach her first probable ovulation date of Jan 9th, making her due date Oct 1…

Answer:
My advice is to wait until the results of the DNA because without a LMP date it's difficult to say.

The average woman ovulates approx 14 days after the first day of their period which means that if her estimated due date was 5th Oct for example then her LMP would've been approx 30th Dec 07.
So it's doubtful he's the father but again only the DNA test will prove it one way or another.

Answer:
If she slept with the other guy on jan 9th and said she had her period days before she slept with him then the dats match for the other guy to be the dad of the baby. If he was the dad her due date should have been around the middle of september I think the 19th. I would bet he is not the dad.

Answer:
How sad for that poor little boy. The two dates are not really far enough apart for you to know for sure. The DNA test will be accurate, so then you'll know. Sounds like the baby's mother has her problems too, but I sure wouldn't count on your boyfriend getting custody even if he is the sperm donor.

Answer:
There’s a chance that he is the dad. An easy way to figure it, if the baby was born on time, use his birthday, add 3 months and minus 7 days. That will give you a round about time that she concieved.

Answer:
Did he get a DNA test done if so then that will tell you for sure, if not tell him to get one, if the midwife says the dates don't match then he should insist on a DNA test.

Answer:
Wait for the results, it might turn out that shes lying!! If he’s the dad then he must take full responsibility and be a good father despite wat you or his ex may think.

Answer:
It's probably not your bf baby unless she ovulated early

Answer:
Babes, when does the results come back? Only that will tell the truth.

Answer:
I don't think there’s a chance. I got pregnant with my October baby in Mid January. I suppose if it was REALLY early October, there's a slim chance, but it's more likely the Jan 9th date of conception.

Sounds like the ex-GF is confused about the timing of ovulation, which is pretty common. Ovulation typicall occurrs roughly 14 days prior to the beginning of the next period. So, if your cycle is 35 days long, you'd ovulate on day 21, or three weeks after the first day of your last period. Women don't usually ovulate just after their periods, unless they’ve very short cycles, or unusually long periods.

Answer:
If the due date was in the first week of october then the baby would of been conceived around about the 3-7th of january which sort of rules out the other guy cos if he's the dad the baby would of been conceived around the 13th but then it also depends on her cycle and when she ovulates. If she was due in the last week of september then it would of been conceived around the 30th of december so i guess you won't know until the dna results. Looks like there is a good chance it's his but without knowing exaxt dates then it's hard to compute.
I think it's great your willing to take care of the baby if it is your boyfriends, not a lot of women would do that, hope everything works out ok.
