Hi There,
Odd question I know but here goes……
I gave birth to my daughter last year and had the implant fitted soon after. I got pregnant whilst on the pill, which I took religiously. Since having the implant fitted I’ve not had any periods.
Over the last few weeks, I’ve had pregnancy like symptoms- sore breasts, needing to use the restroom more, constant sick feeling, excess discharge ect. On top of that, each time I eat pork I get sick and I am addicted to lemonade (which I usually cant stand!) both of which were true for my last pregnancy.
My question is this, seeing as I have the implant I dont know when my period is due. When should I take a pregnancy test? I dont want to test too soon. I know that the implant is 99.9% effective, but I seem to be in that 0.01%, I was with my first child! I know it is unlikely but my last pregnancy had all the same symptoms. I cant afford to keep buying tests so any advice is welcome!
Abusive comments will be reported.
Many thanks
Answer:
2-3 weeks after unprotected sex should give you a accurate reading.
Answer:
I don't want to worry you, but you should see a doctor as soon as possible. It's almost impossible to get pregnant with an IUD as it prevents an embryo from implanting - but this doesn't prevent the possibility of an ectopic pregnancy (although you're no MORE prone to have an ectopic than anyone else) - if you’re pregnant, and it's ectopic, you need to see someone fast.
Good luck.
Answer:
14 - 19 days from the day you had unprotected sex should give you an accurate result.

Try going to a clinic,…they’re free, then after that, after it gets closer to being a tiny more certain, purchase one!
