can tell me if i should be worried because im 33 wks and i feel very uncomfortable nearly like there is way too much pressure down below. Its like a tonne weight pulling down?

Answer:
sleep with the bottom of the bed tilted or pillows under your bum. wear a support belt, when you get in and out of a vehicle close your leg s. same goes for dressing. I had SPD when i was giving birth i thought i was goin to die due to the pressure also it doesnt go away straight away after the birth i gave birth 6 weeks ago and it is just going away

hi

i had sever spd from about 19 weeks. from about 30 weeks i was housebound as i couldnt walk from the pain.

they told me it was common in 2nd pregnancys. its when your ligimants loosen up and basically your pelvis is able to move which is cause of the pain. your baby will be bigger then the average 6lbs too…. my baby was 9lb 2oz

there isnt much you can do but i insisted on seeing my midwife and she got me an appointment with a physio who showed me how ideal to move sleep walk without to much anguish - she also gave me crutches and a back support belt which helped. she said to sit down when putting on you clothes. dont open your legs to much. take baby steps on the stairs so go up one step at a time. DONT go swimming as you wont realise until its to late the pain it causes after!! just do everything slowly!

i tried to get a c section before my due date due to the pain i was in and the fact i couldnt move but they wouldnt do it. althought one was booked as baby was breech - she turned so it was cancelled! arrgh

anyway i kicked up a stink and finally my consultant agreed to induce on my due date

i was bedbound during labour which was terrible but i found being on my side and on my knees was the best positions. i had a midwife by my side through out and they showed my man the most extraordinary wasy of rubbing my back to ease the contractions! (i wasnt granted an epidural) baby came and all the pain and pressure dissapeared!!! fantastic

good luck and take it easy is the ideal thing i can advocate….

get on the couch, remote, phone and a massive supply of mags by your side and get everyone to run around for you - cause when the baby comes that aint gonna happen!!!!

Answer:
I too have SPD. Im on crutches now and have to wear a maternity belt to hold the bump up! Im 37 weeks. I was referred to physiotherapy which does seem to be helping but I can sympathise with your pain! There doesnt seem a lot the docs can do. I have been told the pain will ease off and then stop once the baby is born. You dont have that long now so try and rest as much as possible!

Take care

Answer:
My friend has it at the moment, she has been experiencing it since about 5 months. She told me that pain is really bad, she can barely move, she is only 6 months now and I think the pressure feeling is normal for SPD

Answer:
