My period isn’t due for another 13 days but for the last couple of days i have been VERY nauseaus so i purchased a cheap pound shop hpt and took it with my 1st morning pee
It came up a strong positive nearly straight away but i thought it was too early before my due period to detect?
My last period was very heavy but we pretty much do the doo every day so what do you reckon?

I am going to do another test in the morning and compare but im just curious as to everyone elses experiences about how early they knew and got a positive

Answer:
i done a test 2 weeks before my period was due and got a positive result we were not trying for a baby so it was a bit of a shock so done another one and it was negative i must of spent about £30 on tests Lol and sent one to the physician and it came negative so i waited 1 week and put another test into the doctor and it came back positive so what im trying to say is if you weren’t pregnant you wouldn't get a positive result so good luck and all the ideal

Answer:
You may be further that what you think, some women can have early pregnancy bleeding and it can resemble a period.

You can have many false negative results on a pregnancy test, but only very very rarely do you get a false positive. The test relies on your hormones being a certain level to show positive, if they fall a fraction below the required level you’ll get a negative even if you’re pregnant, but as it has picked up the hormone, you might be further along than you think. So if the next test is positive, see your doctor and arrange antenatal care, a scan will determine just how far you actually are.

Answer:
How long is your cycle? If it's a normal 28 day cycle, testing 13 days before your period would not show a positive result - your body would hardly produce any hCG at all.

Either the test is not reliable (although false positives are very very rare), you’ve read it wrong (perhaps mistaking the control line for the positive line), your cycle is extremely long (like 45 days or so) or you are indeed pregnant and much further than you think.

Answer:
I think you probably are pregnant, congrats if you were trying! I’ve had experiences whereby I have done positive tests very early (before I was due on!), and I have had experiences whereby I've been nearly a month late before getting a positive result. However, uncommon to get a false positive so speak with your physician and congratulations.

Just had a thought, could mean your carry twins (or even more!), especially if your suffering with a lot of nausea!

Answer:
Hi, maybe you are further on that you first thought. As to have a strong posotive line means you have a lot of pregnancy hormone. I took mine around a week before i was due to come on my period and the line was so faint. Any posotive line means you’re pregnant. Congratulations :)

Answer:
That's wayy too early. How long is your cycle? Could you of had a miscarriage or are your periods always as heavy as your last? I think you should go purchase another test. You might of had a miscarriage or you're pregnant. If you're pregnant, you definetely need to see a doctor asap about that heavy bleeding. Pregnancy tests RARELY give out false positives. Good luck!!

Answer:
It's very rare to get a false positive. For the test to come up positive you must have some of the pregnancy hormone in your body which normally means your pregnant. I knew i was pregnant before i missed i period, i just had a feeling.

Answer:
I used a generic test this morning that stated it can be used as early as the 1st day of your missed period - but my period isn't due for 5 days & it came out positive - so ideal of luck!!!!!
