I am currently on maternity leave and have found out that during this time my colleagues have had an appraisal and a small wage increase. Should i have been contacted re an appraisal and should i get the pay rise too although i'm on maternity leave?

Answer:
I think you’re owed it when you go back! Maternity leave wages are usually based on income earned over the last year before the child was born! Meaning you wouldn't be eligible for an increase until you’re working again. Good luck and if you find out what it exactly is let us know!

Answer:
I dont think its working practice to upset your maternity leave to appraise you. You'll get one when you get back to work. As for the pay rise i'm sure that'll be talked about at the appraisal, take it simple and enjoy the first months of your new bundle :)

Congrats.

Answer:
Yes! If you have been there as long as the other colleagues then you have each right to get the same pay increase. Remember, you’re on an involuntary leave of absence. So you deserve anything they’re getting. Hope i helped!

Answer:
That all depends on the circumstances. If you are in an equvilent position you may find they are waiting until you return from your maternity leave.

Perhaps you could talk to your boss on your return to find out where you stand. Good luck

Answer:
In my company you’ve 10 days in your maternity leave where you can go into work for training/appraisals etc. Yes you should've been notified and yes you should've been notified of a wage increase!

Answer:
If you've got a contract i would assume that you also would get the pay rise as it would be a term stipulated in your contract…
