hi i am 40 weeks and 4 days pregnant now and so fed up, my midwife stated they’ll induce 12 days past my due date so on wednesday 3rd feb if my baby hasn't made an appearance i will have to be induced, i have tried sex and walking to help induce nothing will work, when i got pregnant i never even thought of it as i could be waiting another potential 2 weeks to wait for my baby to arrive, anyone else feel like me?

I know how you feel! I am also 40 weeks and 3 days. My physician has stated nothing about induction. My last appointment I was 3cm dilated and 60% effaced. And have been that way for 2 weeks. I'm not having consistant contractions and I feel miserable! I don't think she's ever going to come out but in a way we should count our lucky stars that our babies weren't pre mature. I guess its God's way of putting on all the fine details…

hi, i feel for anyone in your situation, i went to 41 weeks and 2days with my second daughter and i wasnt only over due but in agony as well with back ache i couldnt really leave the house after the 40 week mark as i felt i could go into labour at any time, i was booked in for a sweep on the thursday but luckily for me labour started and i had her early hours of the wednesday morning a whole 9lbs 11oz of her, no wonder i had back ache!!, i like you tied everything but he/she will come when their ready, i hope he/she doesnt make you wait much longer, good luck

I'm 35 weeks and fed up too! I went nearly 4 weeks overdue with my first child (she's 16 now) at least they don't make you wait that long now, but I do completely comprehend how you feel. This baby is breech and it kicks my bladder all the time and it's unbearable.
I'm not sure anything really works but you could try expressing some milk as this is supposed to start labour! If you’ve a pump handy!
Hopefully it won't be too much longer. Chin up.

I'm officially over due this day by one day but I understand where you're coming from, my physician wants to wait until I'm 21 days over due to induce.. no way. I'm asking at my appt Thursday if they don't induce me soon they superior give me pain medicine.. I’ve a skeletal problem and my spine is all bent out of shape back there and I can't move or sleep or anything..

I am only 35 weeks and fed up, so I have the ability to envision how you feel. Have you tried talking your midwife into inducing you earlier? They should be able to, if you're eager to get going.
Answer:
