I’m 5 months pregnant and my bump was a good size. I have IBS and it has got a lot worse since i got pregnant. I have basically been really constipated for ages, only doing tiny bits when i went to the toilet. Today i went to the toilet and i did ALOT, straight after it my bump was quite a bit smaller do you think i have just emptied my bowels and therefore this is the size my baby bump is meant to be? has anyone else experienced this? is it normal? its freaked me out!
Answer:
It's most likely because you had a massive bowel movement. Since you’re 5 months, and sounds like have a belly, the baby is getting bigger and pushing everything which way. With the stool out of your colon it gave the baby more room to move so it's not pushing the baby outwards. Sounds like it would be pretty normal to me. GL with baby and IBS.

Hi, im only just 6 weeks pregnant, so i obviously dont have a bump yet!
But i have in the past had issues with my bowls ect, they had went away but since being pregnant they have come back slightly, so now (and this used to happen years ago before i was preg) i get a very bloated and swollen stomache (where i look like im about 4 months gone already! haha) It them goes down either overnight, or after i have been toilet, i asume if it goes away over night its just gas or something, but it does go away and i get my normal tummy size back (which im sure i wont have for much longer anyway!)
So, if i were you i wouldnt worry about it! It sound pretty normal to me!

I experienced that too. I freaked out, I still think I'm too small. One moment I’ve a ig belly and the next it's small. Im guessing its normal because same thing happened to me and baby is fine.
Good luck.
Answer:
of course its normal.for example when you’re bloated your tummy is full of gas so is more massive.massive amount of stool also makes it slightly larger.
