I had a miscarraige last week. I was about 7/8 weeks. I went for a scan the next day and the physician thinks it was probably twins, one was still there but no signs of a heartbeat or anything. They took blood and again 48 hours later. But my hormone levels have gone up, I'm still feeling sick and my boobs are killing me. I have to have another scan this day but I don't know what to think.

Had your hormone levels doubled in that time? They’ve to go up by that much to indicate a healthy pregnancy. If they have gone up by less than that it could just be that your body is still producing hcg as it has not recognised that the pregnancy isn’t progressing.
If your body still thinks you’re pregnant then that can result in continuing symptoms. I have had 2 miscarriages and after each one had extremely sore boobs.
I think if the doctor couldn't see a heartbeat at 7/8 weeks then it is very unlikely that there will be a positive outcome. I'm sorry.

First and foremost I’m terribly sorry for your loss. Second, the other twin might be hanging on but don't get your hopes up just yet hun, it will be a double whammy if you do. I know the waiting is probably getting to you so try not to consider it, keep your mind occupied with other things…I know, easier said than done, right?

I agree I wouldnt try to get your hopes up just incase there still isn't a heart beat. However they could have been off on your due date, So if your less pregnant then they thought, and your hormone levels keep going up, the second fetus may be viable.. Sorry that sounds scientific but It might make it easier incase it is the worst case scenario. Just try to relax, stress is linked to miscarriage! So Just wait until you have another scan and hopefully everything works out for the best for you! good luck and I am very sorry for your lost.

Iam so sorry to hear about your loss. Im going to be praying that the other lil guy or gal is still in there fighting. Im also going to be praying that if that’s not so then God gives you much strength to get through it.

If your hormone levels are increasing then i would state that you are still pregnant. If your symptoms havn't gone away then i would say the chance of this pregnancy suceeding is really good. Quite a few women havn't been able to see a heart beat at that stage and so don't be too worried. Dont get your hopes up too much but id state its looking good. Have you been bleeding with clots or had any cramps?

Get checked out again. If your hormone levels are still rising it could be a sign that either one twin has survived or of an ectopic pregnancy. Insist on a blood test.
