Who did you tell when you first got BFP?

we’ve told our parents and i have had to tell work because of the nature of my job. my friend text me last night saying congrats but i have no idea how she found out and now the news will just spread like wild fire. did you tell people straight away or wait until 12 weeks

I'm 8 weeks pregnant now, and I've told everyone! I know there is a possibility of miscarraige, and even more these first 12 weeks, but i feel I would rather get support from all the people who knows about my pregnancy. If you don't tell anyone, you’ve to fake happiness and be great at work while dealing with something like that by yourself.

Anyway… I was way to excited to keep quiet!!

Wait until 12 weeks, becasue after that the danger of miscarriage significantly decreases, its really hard to tell everyone then have to go back and tell then you have miscarried, i know this from experience.

Its hard to keep it a secret, id tell my parents and maybe a best friend but that all till 12 weeks

I rang my sister seconds after finding out, and told her that she was going to be an aunt as well (she was pregnant with my niece at the time), we rang my mom, visited my parents in law, rang my ideal friend, and rang my aunt, all within a few hours of finding out. The families took care of the rest, and now it's common knowledge that I'm pregnant.

I was going to even hide it from my husband until dads day but when I called to find out our insurance info he guessed and ruined the surprise. Well we were kind of trying so I guess it wouldn't have been that large of a surprise. Anyway I then told my parents and my sisters. And that's it. Until 13 weeks rolled around (:

well i told my best friend and asked her not to say any thing we told our parents n work also - i was 7 weeks then n wanted to wait to tell every1 else but my ideal mate who was seeing my cousin told him who in effect went home n told my auntie n uncle. they approaced me n i confirmed saying dont tell any1 else - 2 days later a woman i know cngratulated me n i was totally blown away….my own family. i was gutted as i wanted to tell every1 but like u gud news travelled fast.

at least u know people speak about u n ur not a forgotten toy on a shelf. ha ha. least thats how i seen it after a while.

I told everyone straight away.. well we told our mums, cause we were only 20 and 19, and had only know each other for 2 months when we got pregnant, naturally his father abused us, but yeah, second time around they were all happy for us.

Yeah it does spread quickly. trust me, when you actually have the baby, most people know before you get back up to your room lol.. well my family did

id think 12 weeks would be good. ur outta the possible miscarriage frame….and thats when some women start to show. but if you need to tell ur job…do to its nature..that would prevent you from working there anylonger..i would let them know soon enough…so you dont harm ur unborn child.
