I'm just a tiny curious.

Why do they get sore?

Is it the creation of milk?

Is it because they get larger?

Answer:
Hormones and producing milk, and yes the sudden expansion doesn't exactly tickle. If you’ve or will have a pregnant woman in your life: Please that honk that you think is harmless and funny, sometimes feels like you have tore her boob off and drop kicked it across the room. And when the milk dries up. WOW that is painful.

Answer:
It's because of progesterone. It doesn't just happen when you're pregnant either - it happens after ovulation when the progesterone levels begin to rise. Of course, if you then become pregnant, the breast tenderness continues - if you're not pregnant, it stops when you get your period. It's caused by fluid retention mostly.

Answer:
it's those two things, combined with the fluctuating hormone levels. mainly it is the development of the tissues and passageways responsible for making milk. breast tenderness, pain and soreness is often one of the first signs of pregnancy, as well.

Answer:
It has to do with hormones as well as production of milk the breast has to expand to store it all. Them being more massive has a lot to do with it as well

Answer:
Because they are growing with milk, sometimes the milk will drip a little. & the breast get really warm, at least mine were.
