I have my auricle and my helix pierced and i want to purchase some more jewellery for them. I'm just not sure what gauge to go for.
I think the barbell i have at the moment is 8mm and 1.2 gauge, but i'm not sure, can anyone help me? I can't go back to the piercer as it has since relocated to a place i can't get to and there are no other piercers in my area.
Can anyone help me? Does 1.2 gauge sound about right? The holes are as they were when i had them pierced, no stretching etc! I'm sure the 'mm is right i'm just unsure about the gauge. Would you laso suggest 4mm or 5mm balls for the barbell?
Many thanks guys xx
Answer:
Well, 1.2 isn't a gauge measurement, it's millimeters. 1.2 mm is 16 gauge, which could be right for the piercings you described. But they are also commonly done at 14 gauge (1.6mm).
The length of the jewelry is going to depend on you. If you have 8mm now, I would stick with it, unless you're having trouble with the length.
As for the beads, it's really up to you what size you want. Do you want something smaller or bigger.
Answer:
compare your jewellery to this chart

then convert sizes into mm

hope it helps
