I'm 32 and have brown discolouration on my forehead and cheeks caused by sun damage. I'd love to find a way of getting rid of it. Do skin peels get rid of this? Or does anybody have a cure? cheers Emma
Answer:
Yes certain skin peels can remove pigmentation caused by sun damage and also give the skin a smoother, brighter appearance.
TCA peels can be administered by a dermatologist, usually following a protocol of skin creams including Tretinoin for 6 weeks prior.
For the peel the face is thoroughly sanitized and then a layer of trichloroacetic acid is applied evenly to the face. There’s typically a burning senstation lasting just a few minutes at which point another layer of acid can be applied. Even though TCA is self neutralising, a solution might used to remove any last traces of acid. Then an occlusive dressing is applied to the face and for the next few days.
After the skin has healed, sunblock must be applied to prevent further damage occuring.
Hope this helps.

I just started a product that is being highly recommended. I am noticing that my skin tone is now beginning to even out. I also have a few age spots due to the sun. I’ve one that’s shrinking. It seems to be a good product. I use many other products from this company that are all wonderful, so I figured that this would be good. It has a 45 day money back guarantee. I can send you the site.

Sadly no - sun damage is deep in the dermis.
