My Mum died 11 months ago to the day and I have been considering getting a tattoo in her memory, my sister got one before her funeral but my sister already has tattoos but I have none, I only want a very small tattoo but a very meaningful one, on my inner wrist, I was wondering if anyone has any ideas. one of my ideas is getting Mum written in the coca-cola font because we used to share a can of coke before bed every night, and having her date of birth and death but not sure

Answer:
Coca-cola seems unique :) it's very personal to you.

If not, can you think of anything else what relates to your mum? anything personal she might have owned or anything else you both shared?

but i quite like the coca-cola idea

Answer:
You’ve to remember that a tattoo is for life and should be thought about in length before having one done. Look at all the pros and cons of having one and then make your decision. If you decide to go ahead and have one done, make sure you select a reputable tattoist. You can do this by asking other people and by enquiring with your local council for the names of registered tattoo establishments. Also inspect the place and if you are not happy with the room, equipment, hygiene, tattoist, etc., look at another until you find one that you are happy with. With regard to the design, there’s only yourself that can select this. After all the tattoo is going to be on your body. A good tattoo artist will draw one for you if you describe what you want.

Answer:
go for it! i have my sons birth dates in a heart on my left ankle,

visit tattoo parlors most have no problem designing what you would like if you see nothing on the walls that give you any idea's most have photo albums they will let you look at.

they’ll also advise you not to place on your wrist, very visible and most employers will be hesitant to hire you based on that reason alone.

hope it helps

Answer:
I wouldn't put the dates

in the long run it could be hurtful.

maybe not

but are you really willing to take that risk?!

but the idea that you have seems like a good one.

because only you would know what it means

when people ask about it you could share and relieve those fond memories.

other than keep it clean.

(no one can really give you ideas because no one but you and your family really know you mom…sorry)

Answer:
I like that coca-cola idea, it seems very personal to you & your mum and everytime you look at it you'll be remembered each night you shared together :) What about her favourite flower? Or a song lyrics that reminds you of her?

Answer:
I would state maybe get whatever u think is the most meaningful. I think tht coke idea sounds really adorable since everytime you see it it'll remind you of the good times the two of you had everynight. Good Luck and im so sorry about ur mother. xoxox- Me

Answer:
I really like that idea. Maybe have some red shading done around it too? As for the dates, I'm not too keen on those myself, but if you want it, then go for it! I like the Coke idea, it's easy, but meaningful. =]

Answer:
sorry to here about your mum. Sorry to state also, but your idea is naff & cheap. It's a trend, which one day will be unfashionable. There are superior ways in honouring your mum.

If in doubt, then just wait a few more months.

Answer:
OMg, I ALWAYS wanted one. As soon As i get out of the home I'm getting one and that's it >_> I already tried giving myself one (which was stupid) but the ink didn't stay and it left a really cool scar……o.o which my pareents think was was formed when i “fell”

Answer:
that sound like a pretty good idea. or if ur religious, u could get a cross with ur mom's DOB and name in it, and even in coca cola font i bet. gotta warn ya though, tatoos hurt! sorry about ur mom though!

Answer:
Just remember you’ve to live with it for the rest of your life and on the wrists its more rone to be seen (doesn't look that good at job interviews etc..) And it HURTS!!

Answer:
why don't you, have the mom in coca cola font and underneath, either her birth date, or her anniversary date.

Answer:
i like the coca cola idea its sweet but dont ask any1 one here or anywere else for advise your tattoo sould be personal and mean somthing to you

Answer:
Yeah, sometimes people like to get their relatives names written in Japanese or something like that

Answer:

Answer:
