Answer:
Tongue piercings do hurt, anyone who says they don't is lying. I’m a professional piercist and have seen MANY people cry and scream because of the pain.
Bite down on your tongue, that hurts so obviously having a needle shoved through it is going to.
I’ve had my tongue pierced and the pain afterwards is worse than the pain during. Many people find the pain so bad that they can’t sleep for 1-2 weeks after.
There are risks of having tongue piercings, especially if not done by an experienced piercist. If the tongue is pierced in the wrong place it can (although this is very rare) cause death. There are many dental problems which come from tongue piercings. Tongue piercings are also very high risk for infections.
Tongue piercings take about 2 months to fully healed when looked after and cleaned properly. Rinse your mouth with a non alcoholic mouthwash after each meal and each morning and night swab it with saline solution until it is fully healed. After clean it twice a week and try to use mouthwash twice a day.

When the hole is to deep to climb out of, it is time to quit digging. There is no benefit to you with the piercings and tattoos. You’ll find the out when trying to find a job.
Answer:
getting your tongue pierced does not hurt at all. you hardly feel the needle going through cause it's so fast.
but it swells up a lot afterwards, that's the only part that's annoying
Answer:
Don't do it on cnn there was a guy who did and his tounge was split in half.
Answer:
Don't do it! I think you have designed your body enough.
Answer:
Don't worry. You’ll be ok. Go for it!
The part that hurts the most out of all of getting your tongue pierced is when the needle goes through. And that takes 2 seconds. Then, when the barbell is put in, that hurts, but definitely not as much as the needle.
Then there comes the swelling, which I found annoying. And that made it hurt to eat. So I just took pain killers everyday and I could eat whatever I wanted, with small bites.
And having you tongue pierced will be interesting at first, and you may not care about it at times, but once it heals, it will be great.
Oh, and make sure you get a shorter bar to change to after it's healed, because having a bar that's too long when you don't have swelling, is bad. You can accidentally bite on a ball and really injured your teeth. Then make sure the balls on the shorter bar are some type of plastic, just in case you bite on that too, it shouldn't injured your teeth.

The actual piercing doesn't hurt, but your tongue will swell up a lot afterwards, which makes it difficult to talk and eat for a couple of days. It's a tiny painful, but definitely bearable!
Aftercare and healing process isn't too bad, it is just a case of using a medicated mouthwash for about a week or so after you eat anything to make sure it doesn't get infected.
A decent piercer will give you an information sheet about aftercare too.
You'll need to swap the jewellery after a couple of weeks, because it will be too big when the swelling has gone down, and might make you gag a little.
I had my tongue pierced when I was at Uni 9 years ago and I still love it!
Answer:
I didnt think it was bad, until I opened my eyes and saw the large needle sticking thru my tongue. It's not a pleasant site, if you ask me, and I don’t get disgusted easily. But as long as you don't open your eyes until they say it's done, I would think it would be pretty bearable. For me, the healing wasn't bad. I think it differs with everyone. They pierce it with a longer bar than usual incase there’s swelling, but I had none so it was really annoying that it was so long. At first, just get used to eating softer foods, and with that longer bar (assuming you dont swell) its simple to accidently bite down on it, and that hurts. It's just taking some cautionary steps, but it's not that painful, at least I didn't think so.
I took mine out though and for what it's worth, I’ve a small bump on the bottom of my tongue as a result. No one can see it obviously but I feel it there, so that's what the scarring would be like, if you decide to take it out and let it heal up.
Good luck, and just don't look!

I’ve had my tongue pierced, I was super nervous too but I had wanted it for so long when I finally went I just did it. It really doesn't injured like you would think to get it done.. its like a tiny pinch like 1 second, and then its done. For the next week its hard to talk because it swollen and sore after like 2 weeks though it heals up and it isn't uncomfortable anymore. The first couple days are definitely tough, I was like why did I do this? But once you get past the first like 3 days its totally awesome. Ive had mine for 6 months and I love it. I would say do it.. just take care of it in the beginning and watch what you eat and it should be fine!
P.S. Ice and Motrin are great for the pain, and my favorite thing to eat was Ramen Noodles
