Hey.
So I just booked an appointment for this day yesterday. ^_^ I apparently striked lucky as you usually have to wait a few days, but the artist just found out he didn't have a day off this day.
I'm getting a small quote in memory of something that's pulled me through a lot of crap in my life. It's going to be well worth it, but I just need a tiny bit of advice!
How would you describe the pain? Is it really like a hot needle being dragged across your skin? What kind of distractions did you take on to not focus a lot on the pain?
I just ask this because I probably have a low-pain threshold.
OUCH.
Answer:
Its actually not that painful in small doses, And for what I assume is a small wrist tattoo it should feel more like an irritation than anything serious. It's kind of a scratching sensation but truthfully it feels like what it is and is pretty much indescribable to anyone who hasn't experienced it.
I brought a bottle of lucozade with me once and when I finished the drink I squeezed on the bottle, but that was for a 2 hour long re-touch session, pretty different from what you're having.
You shouldn't be in too much discomfort at all. Your tattoo artist might speak to you to keep your mind off it or even put on a dvd or music or something.
Answer:
The place where I had both of mine done had a painting on the floor. it was almost like a treasure map w/ islands and stuff. I just focused on that and looked at it in detail. it helped me to keep my mind off of what was going on. Tattoos hurt but the pain doesnt last and they’re more than worth it.
Answer:
Listen to some videos on youtube from miami or la ink. That buzzing sound is the worst for me and it's a lot superior if you know what to anticipate.
To distract me….I kept talking. Or tried to memories all the picture on the wall if I couldn't think of anything. My artists likes to speak while doing tattoos (some don't) but that helps a lot. It makes time fly too!
EDIT: Bring a bottle of water or something to snack on!!! Trust me!!! ![]()
Answer:
Some tattoo parlours engage this skin type by ripping it up!
Answer:
I didn't feel any pain when I had a tattoo done in my arm.
Answer:
My wife cried…
Answer:
honestly , I find watching tattoos get done to help with the pain .
because you know exactly where the tattooist is going with the needle & you can prepare yourself for it .
I've got a large tattoo on my back & that hurt the most because I had no idea where the tattooist was about to go . but when I got my feet & ankles tattooed it injured much less because I was prepared for it .
but most importantly , BREATHE .
don't hold your breath when the tattooist puts the needle to your skin , if your breathing than you're more relaxed .
don't worry , you'll do fine .
=)
Answer:
everybody handles the pain different and it feels different for different people, and were you’ve it. everybody who states it doesn't injured is lying as it is probably just the have a high pain threshold. i like to watch what the tattooist is doing were as some people don't. you will only know when you have it done. also take someone with you and ask if they have the ability to sit with you and get them to speak to you about anything just to take your mind off it, you will still be able to feel it but all you concentration won't be focused on the tattoo.
good luck you’ll be fine just Rest when having it done
hope this helps
Answer:
i have lots of tattoos all over!
id say the pain of having a tat depends on what part of your body you’ve done! never listen to thos twats who state it dont injured because it does! they are just trying to look like the BIG I AM sorta people! iv got a nice tat on my arm that runs down to my wrist so….
yeah it will be a little painful, its a grit your teeth sorta pain! but im sure you can take the pain!
Answer:
I got my first tattoo on the top of my foot and I have a very low pain tolerance! I was so scared that I thought he would begin and I wouldn't be able to complete because of the pain but it honestly wasn't bad. I was deff and weird and uncomfortable feeling but it wasn't unbearable. My guy talked to me and my best friend was there getting one at the same time so we just all talked to each other and that made me kind of get my mind off it. You will probably be surprised that what you expected is not what it will be like!
Answer:
Don't be a *****.
The only part you'll really notice is the color.
It feels like your skin is ripping.
