Lip piercing info???

i just wanted to know after i get a lip piercing how long is it till i can replace the stud with a ring?

well they tell you to wait like 6 weeks but the skin around it heals like as soon as the swelling goes down pretty much your body is respondent to heal anything like a cut its not going to be absolutely healed and might still be sore but when i got my lip done i changed it like 4 days later only because i ended up loosing the end of my stud so i had to put a new one in lol just make sure you keep it clean for at least the first 2 weeks use mouth wash a lot if you change it soon

They SAY to wait 6 weeks, which sounds like a long time, but you can replace them sooner if you want. I replaced mine after 3 weeks I think. You just have to make sure you do it quickly and don't dilly dally because they close up fast. The first time I changed my lip piercing I took too long cleaning it out and couldn't force the ring back in. It blew.

i know people who have had infections around their lip rings it's GROSS.

wait to change it. it really isn't done healing for 6 weeks.

if you put in a ring before that you could get a disgustin infection. or the piercing might heal crooked, because the ring is round and the stud is straight.

Mine was ok after about 2 - 3 weeks but thats cos I looked after it really well….. cleaning each day etc etc!

Your Supposed to wait 2 weeks at the least depending on how much its healed.. but i changed it after 4 days and its fine :] i guess the longer you leave it the less it will feel irritated when you change it.. so yeahh XD

i have mine done and i changed it after the first month hun. becareful what you use make sure its real and not fake..always carry extra and make sure you dont leave it without one they heal up fast and hurt to pierce yourself

It usually takes about 2 weeks or sooner. You could always ask when you get it done. And I wouldn't advise you to get your lip pierced by yourself ha ha. Hope I helped
