Nose Pierce Aftercare?

Author: admin

I Had My Nose Pierced About 2 Weeks Ago And The Piercer Said To Twist It 3 Times A Day And Keep It In For 3 Weeks. I Had It Pierced With A Gun. She Also Gave Me A 15ml Bottle Of Alcohol Ear Lobe Cleanser…But She Stated I Could Use It To Clean My Nose As Well.

Its Not Infected (Well At Least I Think Its Not) But There Is A Lump On The Inside Of My Nose Around The Stud.

It Twists Easily … It Has Fallen Out About 4 Times Since I Got It Done Because It Has Been Loose. She Did Not Put The Butterfly On The Piercing Because She Sed That It Could Close Up Around The Butterfly And Pop The Peircing Out.

I Am Wondering If I Am Doing Everything Right And If There Is Anything Else I Could Do To Help It Heal Quicker, Any Tips?

Answer:
Getting anything pierced with those guns are always a bad idea. They hurt more than getting pierced with a needle and they have the ability to carry bacteria. Needles are used once and then disposed of. The first thing you should do is visit your local piercer and have them put in a nose screw. This should be custom bent to your nose so that it doesn't fall out. Each time it falls out and you have to put it back in you’re irritating it and making it worse. Always wash your hands before you clean it and it shouldn't get infected as long as you continue to clean it twice a day.

So change your jewelry and keep cleaning and it should be fine.

Good Luck!

Answer:
You shouldn't have got it done with a gun! I got mine done 2 days ago (with a needle) and I was advised (by a professional) to keep mine in for 3 months. Clean it with salt and water (inside and outside of your nose) or buy a spray like H2Ocean from a piercing shop.

Anything done with a gun is not being done by a professional. Piercers who know what they are doing (and speaking about!) will ALWAYS use needles. You can always call a local piercing shop and ask for aftercare instructions if you’re still unsure.

i got my nose pierced and she told me to leave it alone, don't put anything on it. my parents went with me i got it done when i was 14, im 16 now. your not to put anything on it though is what i was told and mine didn't even get a bump.

Answer:
I got mine done about five years ago. Not with a gun, a real piercer done it. I was told to leave mine alone too, not to twist it. I cleaned mine with peroxide. I also used H2Ocean spray. Good luck with it.

Ah your not allergic to any metals you no of it takes a few weeks to break it thats just the whole developing x x

Answer:
Ok, here is what I recommend. First I would put an actual piece of jewelry in it that’s made for the nose. Second, are you allergic to the metal thats in your nose? I have the ability to only wear 14kt gold because anything else inflames my piercings. Next, make sure when you twist it that your hands are clean and the ideal advice I can give is to cease using the alcohol stuff you were given. I’ve 32 piercings and have always been told not to use anything like that anywhere except for the ears. I would recommend a satin liquid soap to clean with and then rinse and follow with a saline spray. Walmart has a great saline solution, it is Equate (the Walmart brand) and is a saline solution. If I am correct this is what is used for contact lenses. Anyways this should help with the lump as well as make it feel so much better. If you want you can go to a body piercing place and see what they offer for cleaning, but I have used what I recommended on all my peircings and have never had any trouble. I really think you should stop using the alcohol you have been using and make sure you are not allergic to the metal of the stud tahts in your nose right now. Hope this helps. Good luck. Also, are you sure it is only three weeks to leave it in? I am pretty sure it should be longer. You might want to make sure. You should not take any chances with piercings as they have the ability to get really infected and painful and cause problems.
