I am 15 years old and i got my moms permission (she stated yess) and ive been waiting years to get it. what do you think?? thankx!

Answer:
I got mine pierced nearly 3 weeks ago. don't listen to stupid idiots on here. if you wanna do it…do it.. just be aware that you can get an infection. eat/suck on ice and take ibuprofen to keep the swelling down n wast out ur mouth after every time you eat/drink/smoke. i did for the first week and half n im fine. no infection. swelling only lasted for 5 days. but if u do get it done. switch the bottom ball out to a plastic one after 2 weeks cuz the metal ones to scratch the back of ur teeth.

Answer:
I wonder why you even ask this on here..You're going to get a lot of people disagree anyway but in the end if you want it done badly you'll get it despite their thoughts.

If you've been waiting for years to get it and now you're faced the that opportunity why wait even longer? Instead you ask people whether you should get it done or not when rightfully you're not going to base your decision on them anyway.

If you want it bad enough, go and get it.

Don't let people on here choose for you, a lot of them are anti-piercing and will state it's stupid, I disagree. I love piercings and had my tongue done once, however it can be really bad dental wise and it's one of the reasons I removed mine.

Make sure you read up about that specific piercing though, just so you know what’s ahead, the healing process can be horrible.

Answer:
Well… im not trying to tell you what to do but…..when i was 18 i got my tongue pierced and I couldn't eat for nearly a week. It became soooooo swollen that I couldn't eat anything!

Also, I heard that if they hit the wrong nerve, it could kill you! If I would have heard that back when I got my tongue pierced… I dont think I would have it pierced this day!

Answer:
Why? That is the question. Why? Do you have to be “like everyone else?” even if it is not good for you? Those things are nasty. They bang around in your mouth (yes while you are asleep) and while you fool around with it (you know you will) and ruin your teeth. It cracks the molars and then you’ll have to get them all capped. I hurts like hell and things can go wrong. What’s this nutty fad of poking as many holes in your body as possible just to be “cool”? I think your Mom didn’t investigate this thoroughly before she stated yes.

NO! It's a stupid idea.

Answer:
Your mom is crazy. I’m 24 and got mine done on my 18th birthday. I wish I never did. I chipped all of my bottom front teeth and its going to cost me THOUSANDS to repair. After that happened I switched to plastic rings and ended up swallowing about 6 of them because the balls don't thread right. Consider having all your teeth, not being cool.

Answer:
agree with most about the tounge tattoo its not a positive kind without drawing its speculation. its useless cuz no one can c it unless u stick ur tounge out but thats rude imo. The kinda piercings i like on a girl are snakebites cuz as Paris Hilton famously stated “Thats Hot” lol

(no u dont have to b scene cuz i seen even preppy/ normal girls wear them it still works out great)

Answer:
You must be aware of the infections and all the other problems tongue pierceing can cause. I'm surprised your mother didn’t do her research before giving her permission.

My advice would be NO WAY.

Answer:
Piercing is hideous.

Tongue piercing is associated with sex

No woman with piercings looks good.

Answer:

Answer:
