Would u ever let your son/daughter get a tattoo?

Answer:
My parents hate my tattoos and before I was 18 my mum said she's throw me out the house if I got one. I got my 1st one on my 18th birthday and now she's used to it she actually quite cares about it, but every time I get a new one she despairs. My father hates them and thoroughly disapproves but he has his own tattoos so I think it's hypocritical of him and thus don't pay any attention to what he says/thinks.

I’ve friends whose parents are fine with their tattoos and even one friend whose mum tried to convince her to get one when she was 16! Everyone's different.

Answer:
My parents told my three sisters and I that we were granted to get a tattoo as long as we had thought about what we wanted for a year and had not changed our minds about it, and that we were 18.

I want one, but not right now. And I'll give my children (later on in life) the same option that I was given: wait until you’re 18, and have had a concrete idea for a year. A tattoo is hard to remove and should be thought through before you get it, and it should be something that has meaning to you.

Answer:
Well, im 19 and thank god i have no kids yet…phew! However, when i do have them, i won’t let them have one before their 18. (i know that's the legal age, but some tattooist stupidly tattoo those younger than 18) Once their 18 and if that's what they want, i will grant it, but will try to put them off having it done somewhere it will be constantly on show, but in the end wherever they want it, i will allow it. Also wouldn't want it to be something very tacky and trashy.

As for my parents….when i had my tattoo done one my lower back, my mum was cool with it…my father however….hates tattoos but granted me to get one done. My nonna (im italian, nonna means in english grandmother) hates them too, she really hates them and always told me never get one, i got one, and i've not told her i got one, let alone showed it to her…she'd go off on one!

Answer:
If I had a child, I would be selective about what they got tattooed on them. And it would also depend on their maturity level. If they were mature and responsible, I would completely let them get a tattoo. If they were immature and childlike, then no, they wouldn't be able to get a tattoo yet.

Answer:
Both my son and daughter have tattoos and I helped them research their designs, the artists, and the tattoo shop. They were both over 18 and had both wanted tattoos since they were very young, I wanted to make sure they went about it correctly. And what could I state, I have many tattoos myself. ;-)

Answer:
I guess it varies depending on the parents beliefs. My mother likes my tattoo. Yes, I would let my SON get a tattoo, only if it was something symbolizing good. I wouldn't let him get something representing a gang, violence, or anything like that. As for my daughter if I had one, hell no.

Answer:
No, no parents like tattoo's. Because they’re use to all the old fashioned swallow tattoo's and all the old skule tatooing. If you choose the right tattooist and design tattoo's can be really cool and classy. get it wrong and you can end up looking tacky! tattoo's are actually becmoming more of a fashion now a days than what tattoo's were all about when our parents were younger.

Answer:
Hi

My son ,22 , has several massive tattoos on his inner arms

I'm not bothered about them at all, in fact the ones he has a very tasteful

what I don't like are the large bluey ones that end up looking a mess

when they begin to fade

If they’re done well , with good colours they are lovely

Answer:
I don't like tatoos. It amazes me why someone wants to draw all over their body. They are hideous and shocking. Angelina looks like yesterday's garbage in an evening gown. Yuck! I have a son, a daugher and a husband. None have tatoos. Thank GOD! I would never let my kids have a tatoo while they’re under my roof. If they want them, they have the ability to move out and get them! But when they come to my home, they will be COVERED!

Answer:
I told my daughter that she will have to be 18 and pay for it herself. I gave birth to her and I don't want to see her beautiful skin ruined with a tattoo. Employers don't like them. In general, parents think that they look trashy. Whether you are or aren't is beside the point.

Answer:
hell yer i would but i think its a family tradition in my family my mum has them my dad has them my fiance and uncles all have them and my mum took me to get my tattoo and i think it would be hypocritical if i was to tell my child no you cant do it. id rather them get one with me knowing that i support them no matter what then them doing it to rebel against me

Answer:
I made my daughters wait until they were 18. Now they don't need my permission and they both have them. I would probably let my son get one at 16, depending on where he wanted it. Fair??? No, but too bad LOL.

Answer:
As I have 5 tatts I think it would pretty hypocritical of me to disapprove if my children get them, lol. I'm actually paying for my son's first tattoo in a couple of months.

Answer:
I'm not a parent but I wouldn't let them. If they want one after 18, its their choice but when they're young, they don't know what they're doing! If they get something they think is cool now, it could be stupid in five years!

Answer:
i told my boys they could do whatever they wanted to their bodies once they turned 18, and if they got tattoo's or piercings I would still love them i just wouldn't go in public with them. LOL …. so far no tats or piercings :-)

Answer:
I wouldnt be able to cease them once they are old enough, as I’ve 2 myself. I would however tell them not to get one unless they were 110% sure.

Answer:
my parents hate them.
I want a little one really badly, but I have to wait until I move out to get one or else they will not help me pay for college.

Answer:
Paernts don't like
would encourage children to just for the experience

Answer:
yes, when I’ve children I would let them, once they were of age

Answer:
yes my mom would let me get one

Answer:
I don't have children, but I don't think so.

Answer:
i dont eny kids but hell yeah i woud !!:. and my mom would let me have one to !

Answer:
When I’ve children, nope.

Answer:
sure

Answer:
I don't have kids, but if I did hell yeah!

Answer:
I HATE tattoos. I don't have kids now, but in the future when I do, I’ll never let them get tattoos. They’re permanent marks on the skin. They injured to get them put on and to get them removed. I've never had a tattoo and I never want to get one.
