and if you go on to have a heathly baby im 36 years old and that was my first miscarry
Answer:
From one woman who has miscarried to another… I am truly sorry for your loss.
The standard medical recommendation is that a patient who has undergone a D&C wait 3 months (or 3 cycles) in order to start trying to conceive again.
However, it is possible (and you’ll find stories of this on here…) that some women don’t take this advice, begin ttc right away and go on to have a healthy full-term pregnancy.
It is recommended a patient wait those 3 months in order for the uterus to be at its optimal “condition” to nurture a new life.
I waited those 3 cycles (I had a D&C in May) and started ttc this month. Hopefully we get lucky! <3
Good luck to you!
Answer:
Typically women are more fertile after a miscarriage, so your chances of conception are a lot higher. Its is the same as having a miscarriage without a D&C assuming that the doctor wasn't careless and that no damage was done. I had a D&C in early July and am still waiting for my cycles to become normal but I am still actively trying. I have met a number of women through support groups who have gone on to have healthy pregnancies and babies after miscarriages with and without D&C's.
Good luck and I’m so sorry to hear about you having to go through that.
Answer:
I had a D&C at the end of July and it took me almost 9 weeks before I ovulated again. I track my cycles so I know when it happened. I’ve just found out that I am pregnant again.
There are no rules when it comes to these things. Every woman is different unfortunately. I've often heard you’re more fertile after a miscarriage but that wasn't the case for me. It took a while for my hormones to return to normal.
