But for the last 5 months i bleed at ovulation time up until i have my periods my physician states its stress but if that’s the case, why do i not bleed before ovulation? can anybody help me i don t want to go to the physicians again she always says the same thing.Thank you.

Answer:
Your ovary is ripening an egg for three months. This happens in a cyst and when ovulation occurs the cysts bursts. Some people who are very sensitive can feel the fluid that the cyst releases and some times there’s a small amount of blood that gives rise to some spotting. If you are speaking about a few tea spoons of red blood then there is a problem, or if it is brown or black blood then you might have small endometriomas (endometrial cysts) that are bursting along side your egg cyst.

Stress will play a large part and will cause your hormone levels to change. Basically if the body is under stress and is producing adrenalin then if there are insufficient nutrients to support both adrenal function and fertility your body will close down the fertility support. It is superior to put the energy into flight and survival than into reproduction when there is stress.

You need to eat well, plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, preferably organic. Consider taking a good yeast free from natural sources multi vitamin mineral supplement and a good evening primrose and fish oil like Efamol's Efamarine.

Stress definitely plays a large role in your cycle and can disturb it immensely. I would advocate lessening your workload (if possible) if you are serious about getting pregnant- I know stress is linked to temporary infertility. As for bleeding at ovulation, I’ve also heard that women can experience bleeding around the time of ovulation but it is usually very light and does not last for more than 1 or 2 days if most. Also there is implantation bleeding which would occur 10-12 days after conception. If your doctor is not concerned, then I wouldn't be either. They would tell you if ovulation bleeding was linked to a potential problem. Otherwise, you could try to get a second opinion. Just rest, de-stress and here's a bunch of baby dust for you! Good luck!!!

I had some blood at ovulation time this month. I heard it's normal. You bleed because when the egg is released from your ovary it makes a tiny hole in the ovary, so you bleed from that. I don't think it's a problem… really. It's just good that you're ovulating.

I've been trying with my boyfriend for the last year, too. Good luck with getting pregnant.

The professionals have already given you advice which you ignored. No one here can tell you exactly what's happening to your body besides the docs. Have you try seeking a second view?
