I came off the pill the beginning of this week and my partner and I’ve slept together since unprotected. However I have had to come off the pill because ive not been ovulating. Although ive not been ovulating and we are having unprotected sex I know there’s still a chance I could conceive. And if I do then we would both be over the moon with happiness. I was just curious to know what you think my chances are of conceiving? Thanks x

Answer:
In just a week your chances are slim - but do remember that sperm can live up to 5 days in optimum conditions. You need to keep having sex through your fertile window - about 14 days from when you started your period. I think that if you're young fit and healthy (and doing the deed at the right time) you should conceive within 4 months which is what the average time is. Bear in mind that sometimes being on the pill can take a while to get out of your system and don't rule out buying ovulation tests to help nail that crucial time. Also, if it doesn't happen straightaway don't get disheartened! Good luck!

Answer:
Strange, usually the pill encourages ovulation. I'm the same as the first answer - I came off the pill after 13 years and was immediately pregnant.

Answer:
Just keep trying - that is all you can do. One Australian physician stated “Just go at it like rabbits” LOL.

Answer:
I got off the pill and never got my period back, because im 4 weeks pregnant. Fist try!

Good Luck!

Answer:
