Does anyone know if i have one blocked tube if i can get prg again ? im 41?

had 2 kids (teenagers) ttc for 10mths now .been for full tests waiting on results. had the dye xray and they hinted that 1 tube could be blocked ?? still waiting to go back to get full results .im goin out of my mind with worry can anyone please help??

yes you can get pregnant but you might need help. i had the dye xray and was told i had a blocked tube due to entridemiotris and was told that the fluid in this tube was washing away fertilised eggs. the doctore decided to investigate and done a laproscopy and decided the tube was to bad and so it was removed with half of my womb. 2 months after operation they put me on clomide which is a fertility drug to boost egg production and 4 months later i was pregnant. my son is now 12 months old and i am 19 weeks pregnant with my second, again conceived by clomid, but this time it happened on the first month, there is no need to worry you’ve as much chance as anyone else regardless of if you have 1 or 2 tubes. doctore can do wonderful things to help aid you. good luck

I think its great that you’re trying to concieve. I'm 38 and about a month ago I got pregnant and then miscaried. It was unexpected because we were not planning. I’ve two teen boys, but when they found out I was pregnant thay were sooooo happy that they started taking care of me. Unfortunately I misscaried two weeks after I found out. My doctor stated everything is normal and that I can TTC again. My husband and I are now planning to conceive again.

rnnTo answer your question, my physician stated that with I tube is actually a good chance that you can get pregnant. Don't listen to any one who asks you Why, it your choice and not theirs.

You can still get pregnant with only one tube - and you don't know for certain that the other tube is blocked yet, so try not to worry. Also, don't take any notice of anyone who states you shouldn't have a baby at 41 - what the hell has it got to do with them?!! My Grandma has my Auntie when she was 47 and they were both fine. Keep trying…. I know people who have been told they wouldn’t conceive naturally by doctors and then do so later on….. do not worry about your age, it is just a number I’ve friends your age and older (47) who have had children no problem. . They might offer to unblock the tube if it is badly blocked anyway.

it should be possiable for you to get preg my mum had a son at 42 and a yr later i had a baby you still have 1 tube that releases eggs so its not 100% impossiable i jus state keep trying and your luck could be in good luck

If one tube is free, you can get pregnant again. It may take you longer, but you’ll ovulate into the right tube about 1/2 of the time. Good luck on conceiving very soon!

My daughter lost a whole ovary and got pregnant with just the one remaining ovary and her baby is due in july. Why would you want to get pregnant at 41 yrs of age though? especially when you already have two teenagers.I still get my periods every month as regular as clockwork but there's now way i'd wish to be pregnant. It's not in the childs ideal interest at all and we shouldn't, just because we still can!
