I use ovulation sticks and i know more or less when i ovulate.I generally get a tiny dark blood 2 days before the test states ok i am about to ovulate. We made love on these days even yesterday only today i have a little red blood.does these mean i have ovulated or i am going too.I am confused.Thanks.

Answer:
Don't listen to people who say it's not normal - bleeding around ovulation is general and can be caused by 2 things. 1 is the follicle the egg is stored in rupturing to grant the egg to be released (which would suggest you have just ovulated when you start bleeding), and 1 is the changes in hormone levels your body experiences in order to ovulate tricks confuses the uterus into letting a bid of period blood out early (which could happen before ovulation as soon as the hormone changes).

The first one is usually what women are getting if they’ve it each month, because the second is more uncommon. That means it is a bit strange that you consistently get bleeding before ovulation, and maybe should get checked out because there's a small chance that it could be affecting your fertility.

Another possibility is that the sticks aren't predicting ovulation at the right time and you're actually ovulating before you think you are. Because you're TTC I think you should talk to a physician even though there's no serious problem because you want to make sure you're babydancing at the right time!

Answer:
Bleeding before an OPK is positive isn’t a sign of ovulation, although you might notice a few spots of blood at or after ovulation. It is probably caused by the hormone changes in your body but if it is occurring every cycle then it needs to be checked out, as you shouldn't be bleeding mid cycle if ovulation hasn't already occurred.

Sally- try READING the question before harping on about people not getting their facts right- the question states quite clearly the bleeding occurs BEFORE an OPK is even positive so we're speaking about 3 days minimum before ovulation. I've read the artile you linked to, and it says quite clearly on there that the bleeding is caused by the rupture of the follicle, which doesn't take place until ovulation, not in the days leading up to this. Don't you think it's a sensible idea to get mid cycle spotting seen to, considering that is can be a sign of cervical cancer? Although this is extremely unlikely, but possible. I wouldn't want this woman to ignore it and think it's ok, only for it to turn out to be something nasty, cos someone on a yahoo answers page told her it was ok! Always better to be safe than sorry!

Answer:
bleeding before o isnt really sounding normal to me sweets.
you can have some bleeding when you o but a drop at most, and certainly not before.
check with your obgyn or a gp?

if the test stick is + it indicates imminent ovulation. sometime within 24 hours so get babydancing.

good luck

Wish people would check their facts before they state you can't bleed during ovulation, please see link below.

Ovulation on average takes place on day 14 of a 28 day cycle, varies from cycle to cycle.

Answer:
You don't bleed during ovulation. You can have implantation bleeding but only about 20% of women get it. Only time will tell if it was implantation bleeding. Wait and see if you get your period. If you don't take a test.

Answer:
The ovulation bleeding is due to the rupture of the ovarian follicle when the egg is released. So I would state after.

Answer:
i agree with lola that doesnt sound quite right.

good luck to you and get bd-ing if the opk state yes.

Answer:
