I’m on day 36 now of a usually 28-29 day cycle.
When i fell pregnant with my other 2 kids a hpt shpwed up after 2-3 days. day (day 31-33)
This time i have now done 2, just done my 2nd, and both shown up negative. Im not stressed or upset etc so there is no reason there to delay period. If my period comes it does and we will try again. Just wondered if anyone else didnt have a positive test for a long tome after missing their period?

yes i kept gettin a negative test result but i had all the symptoms eg(missed period,sickness,sore boobs,)so i ended up goin to see my doc who did a blood test which showed i was pregnant i asked him why test was negative he just said it was 1 of them things good luck x

It could just be that the hormone levels aren't yet high enough to be detected by an hpt. Could you see your physician about a blood test? Those are more accurate.
Do you usually have really normal cycles? You could just be having a longer cycle, especially if you ovulated late or didn't ovulate at all.
I hope you get what you're hoping for! I'm hoping that my period doesn't show up within the next few days. I've been trying for almost a year! If this doesn't work, then on to cycle 11 of trying…

Expecting No 1 here, and my wife was close to a week after her “expected” period date before the home test showed up.
If you’re unsure, speak to a physician, I believe the blood tests are more accurate still.

hi ive always got my positives either just before my period was due or on the day it was due. its seems you probably ovulated late this month. might be a superior idea to ask the doc to test your hormones.

I got mine at 5 weeks pregnant so 3 weeks after my missed period alternatively if you think you definately are pregnant go to the docs for blood tests it will tell you within 2 days as the HCG can be detected at much lower rates.

5 days after my period was due I got a very faint positive on a cheap test. 6 days after period was due I got a bold positive on an expensive test.

Im currently about 3 days passed my period date or maybe a bit more if i go by the pattern it normally goes at.
I also had unprotected sex a week after my last period, a week later i had a small bit of blood in my discharge (Too much info sorry lol) anyway i had period pains last week but nothing, i also usually get angry and bloated but i haven't- you'd state it all points to being preg? Well i did a preg test yesterday & this day and both negative. With my daughter i tested the day my period was due & it was a strong positive.
Its horrible being in limbo, you can't get excited just incase. Hope you’re anyway;o)
