I’m planning my second cycle of ivf, after my very successful first cycle (which resulted in my beautiful baby boy). I had 2 eggs put back (both good) but obviously only one worked. Now I’m debating having 2 put back again because of the danger of twins (only because I’ve my 11 month old son!) I'm just not sure I would be able to cope, although I’ve my husband and my 16 year old daughter.
I would like to know your ivf experiences of twins (whats sexes they were and how you managed to cope!!)
thanks

Answer:
Our IVF twins are nearly 7 months old.
We transferred 2 embryos at the 3 day stage and both stuck - we have boy/girl twins. Lucked out on our first cycle - instant family.
As to how we cope . . . they’re our only children, so we don't know what it is like to cope with one child! Our life is simply 2 - twice the diapers, twice the feedings . . . twice the blessing! You just make it work.
Your situation would be a bit different with an 11 month old in the mix . . . but he will be a bit older if you were to have twins. It is a lot of work, but basically, you do what you’ve to do to make it work.
When pregnant I talked to a lot of twin parents, they all said the same thing…. don't let people scare you with how much work it is and get them on the same schedule.
Hope this helps - best wishes and good luck with your next IVF cycle.
