When to test?

Author: admin

a couple of weeks back i took a home pregnancy test which came back a very faint postitive, about a week later i started to bleed i thought that it could be either a chemical pregnancy or just my period and that the test was wrong. i actually still think im pregnant i have the same feeling as i did the last time i took a test. if i had a chemical pregnancy how long would it take for the hcg hormone to be gone out my body? and when should i test again?

please dont say go to the doctors i had an appoinment booked which they cancelled as they had over booked and im still trying to get an appointment thank you

Answer:
If you got a faint line on a pregnancy test and then got your period a week later, then that would be a chemical pregnancy/early miscarriage (assuming you took the test right and the line you saw was an actual result and not an evap line). How long it would take for your HCG levels to go back to 0 really depends on how far you were pregnant - which seems like you were about 5 weeks when you started to bleed? If all of the "products of conception" were flushed from your body naturally during your period, then your levels should take no more than 2 weeks to zero out, because HCG levels that early in pregnancy are low to begin with. If, however, you still have some remaining tissue left over in your uterus that did not get expelled, your HCG levels could still be up a bit. This could lead to you still feeling pregnant. However, the level may be so low that another pregnancy test won't register it. You would have to get a quantitative blood test taken at your doctor's office for them to tell you specifically what your HCG level is. OR, you could have gotten pregnant this cycle again and this could be a new pregnancy all together, hence the same pregnancy feelings as last month. You could take another pregnancy test and see what it tells you. But either way, try your best to reschedule that doctor's appointment so you know what's really going on! Good luck!

I would say you're okay to test again. If it was a faint positive before and you had a miscarriage then the positive would be even more faint or just nonexistant. However, if you did not miscarry then the positive should be darker. Good luck.

Answer:
try the clearblue digital it gives a difinative answer pregnanat or not. No faint lines to try and guess at.

Answer:
I had a false positive from a clear blue digital i do think that the ones that come up with the lines are better, go get yourself one and try again! Good luck to you i hope you get the result you want x
