Hi all, i have had the implanon implant a few months now and since i have had it in i have had no periods what so ever it is WONDERFUL. But on the flip side of the coin all my sex drive seems to have disappeared… I’ve put on a few lbs since have this implant but i don't mind, i'm not grossly over weight (before people say this is the problem) my fiance adores me to bits tells me i'm sexy, beautiful etc.. buys me nice under ware and will bend over backwards to satisfy me in and out of the bedroom but i just never ever feel in the mood.
I do work full time and get fatigued simple but we do have early nights so this can't be the problem either…
Has any one else had this 'lack of sex drive' problem since having the implanon implant or is it just me ?
p.s i can't get an appointment with my Dr. for another 2 weeks as it's not an emergency so that's why i'm asking on here.

Reduced sex drive is one of the side effects as is weight gain.
For both your sakes you might need to think again re contraception, but the side effects usually disappear within 3 to 6 months.

The first thing you need to do is figure out why your sex drive is low and try to help get it back. I was in your situation and it's not fun without being horny and feeling in the mood when needed. I also felt like my orgasms (if I would even get one) were really weak. Probably because of my sex drive.
