I've been on my period for almost 7 years now & they’re STILL irregular. For example - this month I was due on the 15th & I came on the 2nd…ever since I first started my period it has been like this, starting weeks before or after I was due to be on.
Should I be worried about this? I'm sure they should've become somewhat regular by now…what could be causing this? Should I see my Doctor?
Answer:

After puberty, most women develop a regular menstrual cycle, with a relatively consistent length of time between periods. Menstrual bleeding normally lasts between 2 and 7 days, with the average length of bleeding being 5 days. However, some women will always have an irregular menstrual cycle with wide variations in the interval between periods, the amount of blood lost and the duration of bleeding.
Answer:
there are a lot of factors in why some women are regular
- some just arnt! - it might be hereditory - speak to your mum about it.
- sometimes it take a loong time to become regular
-things like stress can change your cycles.
- or it could be something medical - hormonal based things
theres problems like polocystic ovaries - which messes up your cycles - with pcos you period can be anywhere between a few weeks…months.. or even years late! and then maybe you cycle lasts for weeks.. instead of a few days not great!
- so if your worried you should get it checked out
things like pcos are not curable - but there treatable.
medications like the pill can help make your periods regular - they have speical brands that are made purely for women takign them for medical reasons - so there no harmful
good luck!

Although this didn't happen to me, the first couple of months of getting your period can be irregular. If this keeps up then maybe you should go to your physician, but you are definitely not the only one that has experienced this. Some girls get their period for the first time, then don't get it again for a couple of months.
Answer:
well you know i read once that it doesnt matter what day your cycle starts on as long as its the same number of days apart each month.like from the 15th to the 2nd would be 17 days , so maybe youll start on the 19 next. dont look at when you started , begin counting from the day you start, til the next time you start. maybe you will find that they are more regular than you think. example,17 ,19,21,45,37 days apart each month, which would mean you never begin on the same date…so each month write dow nhow many days apart and maybe you’ll see some sort of pattern. not everyone has a 29 or 30 day cycle
Answer:
