I absentmindedly took a wednesday pill on tuesday, missing the tues one in the pack. I have carried on taking them one day ahead - will I just hav my period a day earlier or do I need to use extra protection?

Don't worry, just carry on to the end of the pack. The days are printed just as a reminder to you, the pills are all the same. In other words you can take that 'Tuesday' pill at the end so your period will arrive on the day it is due. You don't need additional contraception.

All the pills are the same, the days are just on the pack so you remember to take them. Carry on as normal and when the packs finished take the Tuesday pill that you forgot. Then you want be messed up at all. Or carry on and don't take the Tuesday pill your cycle will just be one day shorter.

Just carry on taking them every day until you finish the pack. There's no difference between the pills and the days are only on the pack to remind you to take one everyday. If you do this again, just take the one you skipped the following day and then you're back on track.
