You're confusing menstruation with ovulation. Ovulation is specifically the egg being released from the ovary. Your womb is preparing for a fertilised egg the usual way, by thickening the lining and when no fertilised egg appears (which it doesn't in your case anyway) the lining comes away every month as usual. The womb will do its normal thing regardless of what is happening (or not) in the ovaries.

Answer:
When you have your period you do ovulate

Answer:
Ovulation is what triggers a period…

UNLESS you are on birth control. IF you are on BC, then the bleeding is caused by the hormones in the pill.

HOW do you know you are not ovulating? Is it a guess made by you, or an actual DIAGNOSIS made by a doctor who took blood work?

You are most likely ovulating!
